Executive Mosaic is honored to announce Mark Johnson, senior vice president of Oracle’s public sector, as the newest inductee into the Wash 100, the premier group of leaders who create value for the American public and execute strategic vision at the intersection of the public and private sectors.
Johnson has elevated through the executive ranks over his close-to-25-years with the firm, and prior to his current post served as group vice president of federal sales and senior vice president of Oracle Federal Sales.
In his current position, he leads Oracle’s public sector and manages software sales and marketing to all levels of government in the U.S. and Canada.
One area of Johnson’s focus areas is cloud computing and the company introduced its Oracle Government Cloud in September 2013 as it looks to help agencies “confidently move mission-critical government applications to the cloud without compromising security, performance, or reliability,” Johnson said.
Oracl Government Cloud was released with available Software-as-a-Service and Infrastructure-as-a-Service offerings and Platform-as-a-Service on the way.
“Governments today face tough challenges as they are tasked with reducing costs while at the same time providing citizens with services and information more quickly and efficiently than ever before,” Johnson said.
“We are committed to helping agencies enhance operational efficiency through the cloud.”
Executive Mosaic extends its congratulations to Mark and the rest of the Oracle organization.
