Jamie Morin

Executive Mosaic is honored to unveil Jamie Morin, director of cost assessment and program evaluation at the Defense Department, as the newest inductee into the Wash100 — a group of influential leaders in the government contracting arena.

Morin, formerly comptroller and chief financial officer of the U.S. Air Force, received Senate confirmation for his role at DoD’s CAPE office in June 2014.

CAPE analyzes DoD budgets and current and future programs based on estimated costs, projected threats, resource constraints and other factors in national security planning and resource allocation to inform defense decision-making.

Part of the CAPE team’s role at DoD is guided by the Weapons Systems Acquisition Reform Act of 2009.

While with the Air Force, Morin served as principal adviser on financial matters to the service’s secretary and chief of staff and was also acting undersecretary from July 2012 to April 2013.

He held a fellowship at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments and was a defense policy adviser on President Barack Obama’s transition team.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Jamie Morin and the DoD team for their selection to receive this award.
