Louis Berger Group has struck a deal with the country of Australia’s agency for international development to help lead a two-year project to maintain provincial roads in the Philippines.
The company will manage the second phase of the ‘roads management and government reform’ project in an effort to increase economic opportunities and citizens’ access to health and human services in the country, said Charlie Bell, senior vice president for Louis Berger’s integrated development practice.
Bell added that Louis Berger will work to enhance the efficiency and transparency with which the Philippines’ department of the interior can manage a road transportation network and local road service delivery.
The scope of the company’s work will span Manila and 10 provinces and could affect the transportation capabilities of 4 million people, the company said. Louis Berger will manager more than 80 individuals across those locations.
