Industry to Fulfill $500M of Army Demand for Multi-Functional Devices in Effort to Improve Base Architecture

The U.S. Army is looking to industry to fulfill just under $500 million of its demand for “multi-functional” devices in an effort to “integrate, modernize and refresh” the architecture of the branch’s bases across standardized interfaces.

Winners of the award include Xerox Corp; Canon USA, Lexmark International, and several others that will compete for orders to provide additional accessories, associated consumable supplies, maintenance, and repair services.

The Army will procure commercial-off-the-shelf devices through the multiple award task order contract that will be available for leaser or purchase, the Defense Department said this week.

Army security standards will need to be met for the COTS goods to be bought or leased.
