EMC is maintaining positive outlook on information technology spending despite disruptions brought about by uncertainties in the federal budget, Bloomberg reported Thursday.
Sam Chambers writes the computer storage maker cited sequestration, furloughs and the government shutdown as factors that affected EMC’s third-quarter sales amid limited federal spending and protracted approval times.
“Uncertainty makes it harder for us to predict our business, when you have an important sector that’s limping along from a budget point of view,” EMC Chief Financial Officer David Goulden.
