Mark Sopp

Executive Mosaic is glad to announce Mark Sopp, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Leidos, as the newest inductee into the Wash100 — a group of influential leaders in the government contracting industry.

Sopp helped lead the company — when it was known as Science Applications International Corp. — through its initial public offering in 2006 after 37 years as an employee-owned company.

He also helped steer the firm’s 2013 split into two publicly-traded companies now known as Leidos and SAIC.

As CFO, he is in charge of financial functions such as treasury, taxation, financial planning and reporting, accounting and investor relations.

He previously worked at Titan Corp. as CFO and treasurer and led that company’s shift to a pure-play defense company before its acquisition by L-3 Communications in 2005.

Sopp has also held other finance-related roles at Taylor Made Golf Company and Arthur Andersen.

Executive Mosaic extends its congratulations to Mark Sopp and the Leidos team for their receipt of this award.
