Scott McIntyre, President and CEO of PwC Public Sector, Named to 2018 Wash100 for Excellence in Public Sector Organizational Management

Executive Mosaic is honored to announce Scott McIntyre, President and CEO of the public sector business at PricewaterhouseCoopers, as an inductee into the 2018 edition of the Wash100 — Executive Mosaic’s annual selection of influential leaders in the government contracting arena — for his leadership in organizational management. This marks his second time receiving the award, having also been selected in 2017.

“PwC Public Sector set out 10 years ago to be innovative, competitive and distinctive in bringing our commercial management consulting capabilities to the government space,” McIntyre said in his 2015 acceptance speech for the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award, a highly-coveted honor bestowed to those who raise the profile of quality advancement in the U.S. and around the world. “The market for providing consulting services to public sector clients is crowded, often undifferentiated and typically price-sensitive. Recognizing this, we decided to embark on a journey of quality that would differentiate us from our competitors.”

“Different with respect to the types of opportunities we would seek; different in terms of the value proposition that we would bring to our clients; and different, in terms of recruiting and cultivating talent to address the most complex challenges our public sector clients face,” he added.

In his current role, McIntyre provides management consulting support to federal, local and state government agencies. With more than 13 years at PwC and a decade at KPMG, he was named to Consulting magazine’s 2015 list of the top 25 consultants for his public sector leadership.

“There is no question that [PwC] is setting the bar high. The results show we’ve outgrown our target competitors, exceed margin expectations and built a great workforce,” he said in closing remarks during his acceptance speech. “The real advantage was cementing a culture of quality improvement characterized by client and engagement selection, listening intently to clients’ needs and feedback, and rewarding our people for the results they get for our clients.”

McIntyre is chairman of the board of the Prevent Cancer Foundation and a member of the audit committee of The Langley School.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Scott McIntyre and the PwC team for their selection to receive this award.
