Directed IR Countermeasure
J-MUSIC is a DIRCM system designed to protect aircraft from heat-seeking anti-aircraft missiles. It combines advanced laser technology with high-performance imaging systems, allowing detection, tracking and disruption of incoming missile threats in real time.
According to Elbit, the solution’s modular and scalable architecture enables easy integration with a wide range of aircraft platforms and missile warning systems. J-MUSIC is part of the company’s DIRCM portfolio, which is already in use by Brazil, Italy and the Netherlands.
Advanced Self-Protection Systems
Elbit Systems President and CEO Bezhalel Machlis noted how the award demonstrates the company’s position as a leader in delivering DIRCM solutions and its commitment to supporting the German armed forces in protecting strategic air assets.
“Our successful collaboration with Airbus DS on this important program is highly valued, and we are pleased that our advanced self-protection systems will contribute to the safety and operational readiness of the German A400M fleet,” he said.
