CACI International has secured two contracts with the Canadian Armed Forces to provide services in support of the Counter Uncrewed Aircraft System Urgent Operational Requirement, an initiative aimed at equipping Canadian warfighters with the technologies needed to protect national security.
Under the deals, CACI will work on the second phase of the C-UAS UOR, delivering a light-armored tactical C-UAS vehicle platform and associated support services for up to 10 years. The vehicle will feature full compatibility with a dismounted omnidirectional 360-degree system, designed for detecting, defining, denying, degrading and defeating unmanned system threats from all angles.
Interoperability and data sharing among allied forces will be among the topics in focus at the Potomac Officers Club’s 2025 GovCon International Summit on Oct. 16. Secure your slot today.
The company began its work on the program in the first phase, which started in 2024.2
CACI President and CEO John Mengucci emphasized the growing need for nations to enhance their detection and defeat capabilities due to the increasing number of uncrewed aerial vehicles and the threats they pose to the United States and its allies.
“CACI’s software-defined C-UAS systems leverage our decades of experience in electronic warfare and lessons learned from our vast understanding of how the technology rapidly changes and evolves,” said Mengucci, a six-time Wash100 winner. “With thousands of sensors in operation globally, we are confident the Canada Integrated C-UAS vehicle will protect Canadian Armed Forces personnel whenever and wherever they are deployed.”
The latest deal follows a multimillion-dollar agreement CACI Federal secured to provide light tactical vehicles under CAF’s Operation REASSURANCE, which supports NATO operations in Central and Eastern Europe.
