Chief Master Sgt. of the Space Force John Bentivegna has completed a European tour to assess U.S. Space Force operations and strengthen partnerships across the U.S. European Command area of responsibility. The trip from July 15 to 27 follows through on the International Partnership Strategy that USSF launched in early July.
Bentivegna noted that the collaboration strategy is “a living commitment to collective security, ensuring that our shared future in space is defended by the unified strength of our allies.”

The European tour is the first multi-nation visit for Bentivegna since he assumed the role of the top USSF enlisted position. His itinerary included participation in the Global Air and Space Chiefs’ Conference in London and the Royal International Air Tattoo in Gloucestershire, England.
Bentivegna also met U.K. space counterparts during visits to the Royal Air Force bases at Waddington, High Wycombe and Molesworth. He also visited Ramstein Air Base in Germany and Camp Darby, Italy.
In his meetings with allies and partners, he stressed the value of interoperability, integration and shared defense in the space domain.
“This collaborative approach, leveraging our combined strengths, is how we will collectively address challenges and guarantee our security in, from and to space,” Bentivegna remarked following his tour.
