Canadian multinational IT company CGI has finalized its acquisition of Apside, a digital and engineering services firm headquartered in France.

In addition to its French operations, Apside is present in Belgium, Morocco, Portugal, Switzerland and Canada. According to CGI, Apside provides technology services in various sectors, including manufacturing, finance, insurance and public services, with expertise in areas such as data, artificial intelligence, cloud and cybersecurity.
CGI signed an exclusivity agreement to acquire Apside in March. Apside has operated for nearly 50 years, with 28 offices serving around 300 clients. This acquisition adds over 2,500 employees to CGI’s workforce, including a team of 2,200 based in France.
One of the highlights of the Potomac Officers Club’s 2025 GovCon International Summit, set for Oct. 16, is a panel discussion on the competitive landscape for talent in today’s global environment. Be sure to register to attend.
Caroline de Grandmaison, president of CGI’s operations in France, welcomed the Apside workforce to CGI.
“Our companies share a culture and common values focused on innovation, responsibility, commitment and putting our employees at the heart of everything we do,” she said. “By combining our strengths, we are enriching our technology offering and strengthening our ability to support our clients in their most complex transformations.”
The acquisition is the latest in a series of recent deals by CGI. The company has already completed three acquisitions this year: BJSS, a technology company based in the United Kingdom; Novatec, a consultancy firm from Germany; and Momentum Technologies, an IT consulting firm in Quebec.
