Boeing has announced the appointment of Indra Duivenvoorde, a long-time senior executive, as the managing director of its Indonesia operations based in Jakarta, effective September. Her new role involves coordinating the company’s activities in the growing Indonesian market for defense and commercial airplanes and their related services.
Before her appointment, Duivenvoorde served as the senior director of government services for Europe, Canada, and Latin America, based in Amsterdam. With over 20 years of experience at Boeing, her LinkedIn profile highlights her previous senior executive roles, including sales director for Boeing Commercial Aircraft in Central Europe, Spain, and Portugal. Additionally, she was the vertical lift program manager in the Netherlands and project manager for international strategic partnerships across Europe.
Boeing has been operating in Indonesia for 76 years, contributing to the country’s aerospace and defense development. The company’s presence in Indonesia extends beyond commercial aviation and defense; it also includes air traffic modernization, supply chain management, safety initiatives and local talent development.
Penny Burtt, Boeing Southeast Asia’s president, emphasized Indonesia’s significance in the company’s long-term growth strategy. “In a country where we see growing demand right across our three businesses, Indra brings the right experience from sales through support to ensure that our Indonesian customer relationships flourish long into the future,” she said.
Duivenvoorde will succeed Zaid Alami, who has been appointed regional vice president for Asia Pacific and Oceania customer support.
