Peter Hawkins, a veteran technology executive, announced on LinkedIn that he has joined Maxar Technologies as vice president and head of Asia Pacific for its intelligence business.
Based in Singapore, Hawkins will oversee efforts to expand regional demand for Maxar’s artificial intelligence-powered geospatial insights, Earth observation data and related digital solutions.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Hawkins previously served nearly five years as the general manager for global business development in Asia Pacific at Esri’s Singapore unit. He also held senior roles at Here Technologies as APAC head of its location technology business, and at Nokia in Sydney as director for location content and data services.
Earlier in his career, he worked in business development leadership roles at Inseego in Asia and Garmin International in London, and as a project manager at Subsea 7 in Norway.
Hawkins holds management degrees from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and Aalto University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in science from Solent University.
