Corry Neale has joined QinetiQ as the chief executive of its Australian business. In this new role, she will lead the company’s operations in Australia, managing approximately 800 employees across 10 sites. The team provides defense and security products that use local expertise alongside QinetiQ’s global capabilities.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead a fantastic team and am looking forward to working more closely with our customers, partners and people to leverage QinetiQ’s multi-domain expertise,” Neale said. “Together, we will deliver trusted solutions that advance sovereign capability and support Australia’s strategic priorities.”

Neale brings over two decades of experience in defense, aerospace and technology. Most recently, she served as chief strategy officer at Thales Australia, where she was responsible for strategy formulation, communication and execution. She is also a member of Chief Executive Women, an organization dedicated to attracting, promoting and retaining experienced women leaders in government and industry.

Steve Wadey, QinetiQ’s group CEO, highlighted the significance of Neale’s background as the company progresses in its mission. “Corry’s experience leading complex programs across the defense and aerospace sectors will be critical as we continue to position QinetiQ to play a vital role in advancing sovereign capability and supporting our Australian customers’ most critical priorities,” he said.

QinetiQ has been supporting Australia’s defense requirements for years. In March, the company teamed up with Muru Management Consulting to provide defense aviation safety services. QinetiQ Labs, launched in Adelaide in late 2024, is dedicated to research in defense science and technology.
