Guibourg added that the companies will also jointly pursue defense programs in Malaysia.
Mathialagan Chellappan, executive director at G7 Global Aerospace, also revealed that the partnership aims to “build local capability” to ensure long-term support.
“By combining Hensoldt’s proven global technologies with G7 Global Aerospace’s strong local integration and support capabilities, we are confident in delivering high-impact solutions that align with Malaysia’s long-term security and sovereignty objectives,” Mathialagan said.
What Other Defense Partnerships Has Hensoldt Pursued?
Hensoldt’s teaming agreement with G7 Global Aerospace comes months after the European company announced its collaboration with German defense technology company Helsing to advance its artificial intelligence-powered autonomous combat aircraft CA-1 Europa. The companies will equip the CA-1 with Helsing’s Centaur AI agent to deliver real-time data fusion and coordinate missions.
In 2025, Hensoldt also entered a collaborative agreement with TUM Venture Labs, a joint effort of the Technical University of Munich and its affiliate entrepreneurship center, UnternehmerTUM. Under the agreement, Hensoldt will share aerospace and defense industry perspectives to support the development of European aerospace and defense startups.
