Leonardo UK Appoints VP for National Strategic Organizations

Leonardo UK has appointed Gordon Scarratt as vice president for national strategic organizations at its cyber and security division. Scarratt announced the move in a LinkedIn post on Saturday.

Scarratt has been with Leonardo since 2022, most recently as head of strategic capture. Before that, he held multiple leadership roles within the U.K. government. At the Home Office, he was a director of the Cross Government Joint Operations Centre and headed the National Maritime Law Enforcement Organisation.

His career also included senior appointments within the Ministry of Defence, including chief of staff at the Royal Air Force Safety Centre; director of intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance at the MoD Worldwide Joint Operations HQ; and more than a decade of operational service as a mission commander and ISTAR specialist in the RAF.

Aerospace, defense and security company Leonardo UK, a subsidiary of the Italian multinational company, has revenues of $3.3 billion and employs over 8,500 people across nine main sites in the United Kingdom.
