Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, Polish national defense minister and deputy prime minister, visited a Norway-funded training facility at the Nowa Deba-Lipa Land Forces Training Grounds in Poland on Friday. Construction of the upcoming site started on July 14 and is expected to be completed by Sept. 1.
“Today, we are at the training ground where we are building training facilities for both Polish and Ukrainian troops,” Kosiniak-Kamysz said. “It is a mission that Norway has decided to undertake together with Poland, within the NATO framework.”
In a briefing with members of the Polish Armed Forces and Norwegian troops, he noted that the soon-to-be-operational site makes “Poland one of the strongest centers” for NATO, showing how member states and other allies are ready to support Poland in collaborative efforts that reinforce regional defense capabilities.

The deputy premier stated that since the Ukraine-Russia war started, the Polish military has trained over 30,000 Ukrainian warfighters.

Defense Training Expansion
Ukraine is not the only country that has benefited from the new training facility, as Poland defense forces also marks expansion in the southeastern province of Podkarpacie.
