KBR has entered into a strategic partnership with U.K.-based Unipart to deliver data-driven, resilient supply chain solutions for the defense industry.

The alliance will combine Unipart’s expertise in logistics, supply chain management and digital transformation with KBR’s experience in defense program management and operational support.

“We are delighted to join forces with Unipart in this strategic partnership, which positions us uniquely to deliver innovative, sovereign secured and resilient solutions for the defense sector,” said Paul O’Shaughnessy, vice president at KBR. “Together, we will provide integrated, intelligence-led supply chain solutions that ensure uninterrupted operational readiness and a sustainable future for our nation.”

At the 2025 GovCon International and Global Defense Summit, the Potomac Officers Club will host a powerhouse panel on one of today’s most pressing challenges: building supply chain resilience and agility in an era of strategic competition. Reserve your seat today.

KBR, headquartered in Houston, has steadily expanded its defense technology portfolio. In March 2024, the company received a task order under the Navy’s SeaPort-NxG vehicle to perform cybersecurity and information assurance work for Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic. Later that year, KBR secured a $100 million contract to provide the British Army with a fleet of heavy equipment transporters.

For Unipart, the partnership marks a significant move into the defense sector. Jim Hartshorne, managing director for commercial at Unipart, stated that collaborating with KBR enables his company to provide innovative solutions to defense organizations aimed at creating resilient and efficient operations.

The partnership announcement followed discussions among Unipart CEO Darren Leigh, KBR’s Gabe Camarillo and other company leaders, highlighting the strategic importance and shared vision behind the alliance. Camarillo, who now serves as senior vice president of defense technology solutions at KBR after his tenure as U.S. Army undersecretary, is also a member of Executive Mosaic’s 4×24 Leadership Series.
