Airbus Defence and Space has appointed Nathalie Rau as executive vice president of human resources and a member of the Airbus SE division’s executive committee.

Rau said she is honored to support Airbus personnel whose missions involve preventing crises, protecting lives and restoring communities. “It is a genuine honor to be here to support the people who make these incredible missions possible,” the newly appointed HR chief said in Airbus’s LinkedIn announcement. “My goal is to foster a culture where our people feel secure, valued and empowered to grow.”

Before joining Airbus, Rau served for more than three years as chief HR officer at Magenta Telekom in Vienna, Austria. She previously served as senior vice president of people and culture at Universal Music Group and spent nine years with the Lufthansa Group, holding HR leadership positions at Austrian Airlines and Eurowings.

A lawyer by training, Rau began her career in 2005 at Arvato Direct Services after earning her law degree from Universität Passau in Germany and studying law at Université Toulouse I and Université du Maine in France.
