DTC, a Codan company, has appointed John Eva as vice president of sales for Asia Pacific, bringing extensive defense sector experience and knowledge of customers, partners and markets across the region, the company said in a LinkedIn post Monday.
Who is John Eva?
Eva joined DTC after serving as senior director of international sales, defense, for APAC at Teledyne FLIR, where he spent more than four years in sales and business development roles.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he spent more than two decades in the aerospace and defense industry, including roles at Rockwell Collins before its integration into Collins Aerospace, spanning sales, APAC business development, defense sustainment, and customer and account management.
At Collins Aerospace, he served as manager of sales for Australia and New Zealand, where he led a business development team and managed sales of the company’s mission systems portfolio to governments, original equipment manufacturers, maintenance, repair and overhaul organizations, and other defense industry stakeholders.
He then worked in APAC business development, focusing on defense sustainment, customer and account management.
Earlier in his career at Rockwell Collins, Eva held roles in business development, service programs, customer service and program management.
What will Eva oversee at DTC?
In his new role, Eva will lead DTC’s Asia-Pacific sales strategy and collaborate with teams across the company to strengthen customer engagement, develop strategic partnerships and identify opportunities for sustainable growth.
Eva’s regional responsibilities will include helping DTC better understand customer requirements, supporting customers throughout the program lifecycle and delivering an integrated communications portfolio aligned with changing operational needs.
What Did Eva Say About Joining DTC?
Eva described the region as home to highly capable customers and partners addressing increasingly complex operational and security requirements.
“I look forward to working closely with them, as well as with our teams across DTC, to build trusted relationships, strengthen regional partnerships and deliver mission-critical communication solutions that support long-term operational success,” he said.
How Is DTC Strengthening its International Sales Leadership?
Eva’s appointment follows DTC’s appointment of Markus Frehse as vice president of sales for the UK, Europe and Middle East and Africa in August.
Frehse’s appointment expanded DTC’s sales leadership across key international markets, with a focus on regional sales strategy, business development, customer engagement and strategic opportunities.
