Rabindra Singh named MDA Space VP for strategic solutions

MDA Space has appointed space industry veteran Rabindra Singh as its vice president for strategic solutions, a newly created position. The Ontario-based company announced on Monday that Singh will develop strategies on customer services and corporate partnerships to maximize MDA Space’s global portfolio.

He brings over 30 years of experience in the space industry to his new role. Most recently, he was a co-founder and chief technology officer at Axta Space, where he focused on providing connectivity and optical communications to aerospace customers and satellite operators.

According to Singh’s LinkedIn profile, he previously served as the chief technology officer at SpaceLink for two years. In this role, he implemented the company’s end-to-end space communications system, allowing customers to maintain continuous connectivity for their space missions. Additionally, Singh held senior executive positions at Maxar Technologies for over six years, including vice president of strategic initiatives and chief architect for technology road maps.

Singh holds a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering and a bachelor’s degree in systems design engineering, both from the University of Waterloo. He also earned a Corporate Innovation Certificate from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

MDA Space CEO Mike Greenley welcomed Singh as the newest member of the executive team, noting his extensive industry perspective and strategic innovation will help “unlock new opportunities and support our continued expansion in the global space economy.”
