Intelligent content management platform Box is set to provide the Japan Air Self-Defense Force with a secure cloud content management tool and associated services, enabling secure information sharing with affiliated partners.
With Box deployed, JASDF can enhance business efficiency and security, detailed access rights control, trail management of various logs, and centralized content management.
JASDF is the East Asian nation’s first line of defense in the air domain and a vital contributor to relief operations, locally and internationally. It has recently launched an effort to streamline its IT networks to better understand and address its cyber posture. Currently, the service uses on-premise file servers, which continue to threaten national security despite being regularly monitored for potential risks.
Box Japan President Noriyuki Sato highlighted cloud service providers’ integral role as organizations worldwide start improving their overall capabilities.
“We will continue to support the powerful combination of content plus [artificial intelligence] built into Box, and contribute to the digital transformation of our customers in Japan as the leading platform for protecting enterprise content,” he said.
