Vera Saal will succeed Ursula Biernert-Kloß as the labor director on Rheinmetall’s management board, effective Sept. 1. CEO Armin Papperger will temporarily fill the position until Aug. 31.
In addition to her new role, Saal will also serve as the chief human resource officer.
According to her LinkedIn profile, she has held several leadership positions at Rheinmetall, including senior vice president for total rewards, a member of the division board for the company’s power systems business, and senior vice president for labor law, labor relations and pensions.
Before joining Rheinmetall, Saal worked as an in-house lawyer for Generali’s personnel management services division and as an attorney at the employment law firm KLIEMT.
She received her degrees from the University of Bonn and Landgericht Düsseldorf.
