- An undisclosed Asia-Pacific customer, with contract performance spanning up to five years
- The awards cover SPECTRO 12 multispectral ISR payloads for helicopter integration
- The contracts also include advanced head-up display systems
Elbit Systems has secured approximately $200 million in contracts from an undisclosed customer in the Asia-Pacific region to supply airborne intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance equipment and training systems.
The contracts will run for up to five years, the company said Monday.
What Will Elbit Systems Deliver Under the Contracts?
A key component of the awards is the SPECTRO 12 multispectral ISR and targeting payload, which Elbit Systems will provide for integration onto helicopters.
The contract scope also includes follow-on support and upgrades for airborne live training systems installed on aircraft, as well as the delivery of advanced head-up display systems designed to support day and night flight operations.
In a separate March 2026 announcement, Elbit America, now rebranded in the U.S. as Twenty-Six Defense and a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of Elbit Systems, secured a $49.9 million U.S. Army contract to supply Air Warrior head-up displays for rotorcraft.
Bezhalel Machlis, president and CEO of Elbit Systems, said the company’s airborne portfolio combines advanced technology with operational experience across different mission environments.
“We are proud to provide our customers with innovative capabilities that enhance mission effectiveness, situational awareness and operational readiness across a broad spectrum of airborne missions,” Machlis added.
What Is the SPECTRO 12 Airborne ISR Payload?
The SPECTRO 12 is the latest addition to Elbit Systems’ SPECTRO family of airborne ISR and targeting payloads. The compact, multispectral system is designed for aircraft and other platforms with strict size, weight and power constraints.
According to the company, the payload combines high-resolution multispectral sensors, precision targeting capabilities and a laser designator with artificial intelligence-powered image processing. These features are designed to support long-range target detection, identification and tracking, as well as engagement in complex operating environments and adverse weather conditions.
In September, Elbit Systems disclosed approximately $270 million in international contracts for advanced airborne ISR and targeting payloads from its SPECTRO family.
How Is Elbit Systems Expanding Its Helicopter Technology Portfolio?
On Feb. 24, Elbit Systems announced plans to supply its Helmet Display and Tracking System, or HDTS, for the Israeli Air Force’s UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter fleet.
Earlier, on Jan. 12, the company disclosed approximately $275 million in contracts to provide an undisclosed Asia-Pacific customer with helicopter electronic warfare and direct infrared countermeasure systems. The five-year contracts cover an integrated self-protection suite designed to detect and respond to threats, including incoming missiles, and improve aircraft survivability.
