Chris Sherry has been appointed as the senior vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Dataminr, a move he announced via LinkedIn on Sunday.
Sherry joins Dataminr after spending three years at Forcepoint, where he served as vice president for Europe. His career also includes roles as general manager for EMEA and Asia Pacific at vArmour, managing director for cybersecurity in the U.K. and Ireland at Cisco, and regional vice president for EMEA Central at Forescout Technologies.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Sherry has a strong focus on sales management and leadership, delivering revenue growth while transforming companies’ sales teams into groups dedicated to implementing strategic growth plans.
“My mandate here is clear: to take the solid foundation we have in physical security and grow into cybersecurity use cases to the benefit of all our customers and partners,” he said in his announcement. “I love to transform teams across this vibrant, multicultural EMEA theater and this unique opportunity promises to be a very exciting experience.”
Sherry holds a degree in mechanical engineering and material science from the University of Nottingham.
