Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, has begun a 4,000-square-meter expansion of its Tajęcina site in Poland to boost landing gear output for commercial and defense aircraft.
The Tajęcina facility, which opened in 2012, began expanding in November 2024, with completion slated for February 2026, RTX said in its Sept. 2 release.

“This expansion builds on our proven track record of delivering high-performance landing gear systems that our commercial and defense customers rely on every day,” said Matt Maurer, vice president of Landing Systems at Collins Aerospace. “By increasing our manufacturing capacity in Poland, we’re ensuring we can meet growing demand worldwide for our products.”
Logistics superiority in the era of strategic competition will be a topic at the Potomac Officers Club’s 2025 GovCon International Summit panel discussions. Secure your spot and register today.
Collins’ landing gear portfolio includes main, nose, and wing assemblies, built from high-strength metals to endure demanding operating conditions. Integrated steering, braking, and control systems are engineered for performance and low maintenance.
The Tajęcina site is part of Collins’ corporate campus in Jasionka and one of eight major RTX operations in Poland, where the company employs more than 9,100 people. Collins also operates in Wrocław, Krosno and Kalisz.
