Amentum has been appointed as one of the suppliers on all four lots of the United Kingdom’s Integrated Waste Management Specialist Nuclear Services Framework, awarded by Nuclear Waste Services. The framework’s estimated value is $35.5 million over four years.
Under the agreement, Amentum will provide a wide range of technical support to NWS’ Integrated Waste Management Delivery Team. The work spans the entire waste management life cycle, including waste culture, knowledge management, sustainability, strategy and business case, and the needed technical support.
NWS is part of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority group, which has a long-term mission to clean up nuclear sites on behalf of the U.K. government. The framework also falls under the NDA’s Integrated Waste Management Programme, which promotes an integrated approach to processing waste from generation to disposal.
“As the only company to win positions in all four lots, Amentum has the opportunity to provide critical specialist capabilities and solutions to enable NWS in ensuring safe and secure management of the U.K.’s radioactive waste,” said Mark Whitney, president of Amentum Energy & Environment.
