The Netherlands has finalized its order of 150 Dutch Expeditionary Patrol Vehicles, or DXPV, from Wisconsin-based Oshkosh Defense and its sister European unit under a procurement agreement signed on Wednesday. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
The Dutch Ministry of Defence’s order of DXPV, known as “Kaaiman,” is patterned after Oshkosh’s Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, designed for off-road operations at high speeds and interoperability with NATO allies.
Direct Commercial Sales
Pat Williams, Oshkosh Defense’s chief programs officer, called it an honor to work with the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps on the Kaaiman delivery.

“This agreement reflects the continued global interest in the Oshkosh JLTV platform and reinforces our role as the only original equipment manufacturer authorized to offer it to international customers through direct commercial sales,” he said.
Global Demand for JLTV
The Netherlands’ DXPV purchase is the latest in JLTV platform procurements.
Munira Tourner, product manager for systems integration at the U.S. Army’s Joint Program Office for Joint Light Tactical Vehicles, previously noted increasing JLTV demand worldwide. Her office facilitated the sale of 1,200 vehicles to nine countries in fiscal year 2024.
