Aerospace and national security firm SNC and Lufthansa Technik, a technical aircraft services provider, will jointly explore defense and aerospace opportunities in aircraft modification, repair and life cycle management under a partnership agreement. The companies formally agreed to collaborate at the Paris Air Show on Wednesday.
The Sierra, Nevada-based SNC said it will work with Hamburg-based Lufthansa Technik Defense to pursue civilian and military customers’ needs across the United States, Europe and NATO partners.

Advancing Aerospace Innovation
Jon Piatt, SNC’s executive vice president for ISR, aviation and security, described the strategic partnership as a “powerful synergy” for rapidly advancing innovation and superiority in aerospace support services.
“Working together, we are well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of our global customers and enhance mission readiness through ground-breaking aircraft solutions,” he said.
Trans-Atlantic Defense Capabilities
Michael von Puttkamer, Lufthansa Technik vice president for special aircraft services, noted that “credible cooperation, shared responsibility and technological strength” are current demands for the security environment.
“By combining SNC’s mission system expertise with our deep experience in aircraft support, we are taking another step in strengthening defense capabilities across the trans-Atlantic,” he said.
