Tokyo-based NTT DATA has partnered with Google Cloud to help enterprises across industries adopt agentic artificial intelligence and modernize cloud systems.
NTT DATA said Wednesday that the collaboration will focus on co-innovating industry-specific cloud and AI solutions. The multinational IT company will use Google Cloud tools, including Gemini and Agentspace, to develop customized solutions for the public sector, banking, healthcare and other sectors.
Marv Mouchawar, head of global innovation at NTT DATA, said the tie-up marks a significant step in the company’s multi-sector innovation and digital transformation goals. “By combining NTT DATA’s deep expertise in AI, cloud-native modernization and enterprise solutions with Google Cloud’s advanced technologies, we are helping businesses accelerate their AI-powered cloud adoption globally and unlock new opportunities for growth,” he said.
Key focus areas include developing industry-specific agentic AI solutions, accelerating cloud modernization using Google Distributed Cloud, and delivering secure sovereign cloud options that meet data sovereignty and compliance needs. A dedicated sandbox environment will also be available for clients to test and develop these new solutions, helping to speed up time to market.
Secure, interoperable IT for coalition space operations will be among the panel discussions at the Potomac Officers Club’s 2025 GovCon International Summit on Oct. 16. Reserve your seat today.
To execute this vision, NTT DATA has established a dedicated global Google Cloud Business Group, providing end-to-end services from advisory and build to hosting and implementation. The company is also investing heavily in training to certify 5,000 engineers in Google Cloud technologies to support client projects.
The partnership effort is the latest in NTT DATA’s moves in cloud and AI strategy. Last week, the company launched a global business unit for Microsoft Cloud to meet growing demand for secure, AI-enabled enterprise transformation. In July, NTT DATA said it has partnered with Mistral AI to co-develop private, enterprise-grade generative AI systems. As part of that agreement, NTT DATA will open a Mistral AI Center of Excellence and Mistral will roll out a technical certification program for the firm’s staff.
