Boeing has appointed Travis Sullivan as president of its Southeast Asia operations, effective July 3. Sullivan will replace Penny Burtt, who has departed for another opportunity, the aerospace company said Monday.

In his new role, Sullivan will relocate to Singapore, where he will oversee Boeing’s operations and strategic initiatives across Southeast Asia. He will be responsible for strengthening the company’s regional presence and advancing growth initiatives.

Who Is Travis Sullivan?

Sullivan is a longtime Boeing executive who most recently served as vice president and general manager of Boeing Distribution, overseeing a global aerospace and defense parts distribution business with more than 3,000 employees across over 120 locations worldwide. Throughout his Boeing career, Sullivan has held several senior leadership positions, including vice president of enterprise strategy, vice president of strategy and business capture for Boeing Defense, Space & Security, and vice president of international strategy. He also played key roles at Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

What Experience Will Travis Sullivan Bring to Boeing?

Sullivan brings more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning aerospace, defense, international strategy and government policy.

In addition to his Boeing leadership roles, he served as director of policy and strategic planning and international trade specialist at the Department of Commerce. He also held public policy positions at the White House and the Overseas Private Investment Corp., and worked as a senior adviser on foreign policy, commerce and trade issues for Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash.
