Amentum has announced the appointment of Helen Simms as vice president for international technology and innovation, succeeding Greg Willetts. Simms is bringing over her years of experience and expertise to drive the company’s growth in the energy, defense and space markets.
“I am excited to leverage my experience and passion for technology to drive innovation and deliver exceptional services for our clients and stakeholders,” Simms said. In a separate post on LinkedIn, she shared that her new role brings her back to the nuclear energy and defense industries where she started her professional journey.
Simms joins Amentum from Xodus, a global energy advisory firm where she most recently served as chief operating officer. She held leadership roles at several organizations, including energy transition and certification divisional director at Bureau Veritas Group, director of radioactive waste services at Augean and managing director of Redhall Nuclear.
In remarks welcoming the new appointment, Andy White, senior vice president of Amentum Energy & Environment International, said Simms brings a proven track record of growing businesses. “She will be instrumental in developing, implementing and delivering solutions to our clients’ complex challenges with the very talented and successful team at the heart of our technology, digital and innovation strategy,” he added.
