BigBear.ai, Narval Release Next-Gen Cargo Security Solution in Panama

BigBear.ai has unveiled a new artificial intelligence-powered cargo security management platform in partnership with Panamanian investment and logistics firm Narval Holding Corp. The company said the launch will begin in Panama, with plans to expand regionally and globally.

The system, developed through Narval’s Panama-based subsidiary International Shipping Compliance, is designed to protect the global supply chain, improve transparency and combat illicit trafficking.

The platform integrates real-time driver and shipment tracking with a centralized operations dashboard, where operators can monitor fleet, vehicle and driver data; identify anomalies; and generate actionable insights to detect and disrupt smuggling networks and other illegal activities. It also uses biometric verification to link drivers, vehicles and cargo containers, ensuring accountability throughout the supply chain.

AI dominance in strategic competition is among the much-awaited panel discussions at the Potomac Officers Club’s upcoming 2025 GovCon International Summit on Oct. 16. Secure your attendance today.

“Securing the global supply chain requires innovation, trust and the ability to verify each handoff along the way,” said BigBear.ai CEO Kevin McAleenan, a 4×24 member and two-time Wash100 Award recipient. “By partnering with Narval Holding Corp. in Panama, a critical gateway for global trade, we will deliver an AI-driven solution to strengthen cargo security today, while laying the foundation for broader regional adoption.”

The platform launch is the latest in BigBear.ai’s recent initiatives in the Gulf region. Last June, the company partnered with Easy Lease and Vigilix Technology Investment, both based in the United Arab Emirates, to develop AI solutions supporting mobility and industrial services. Through Easy Lease’s regional presence and Vigilix’s market insights, the collaboration seeks to advance the UAE’s broader digital transformation objectives.
