Atos has appointed Matt George as the chief technology officer for its public sector and defense business in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
George announced the news via LinkedIn. Previously, he served as the technology strategy director at Atos’ subsidiary, Eviden, which focuses on AI-enabled systems, advanced computing, mission-critical operations and cybersecurity.
Before his role at Eviden, George held several leadership positions within Atos’ U.K. business unit, including the CTO for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs account. According to his LinkedIn profile, he has previously managed technology strategy engagements with the Ministry of Defence, the Department of Health, the National Health Service and the Ministry of Justice while serving as the technology strategy director for the public sector at the U.K. unit. In this role, he led a team of solution architects to deliver hybrid cloud solutions and develop a long-term digital transformation strategy for Scotland.
Prior to his time at Atos, George held senior technology positions at Fujitsu Services and Computacenter.
