Saab Books Danish Order for Combat Training Platform

Saab Denmark combat training contract win

The Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation has placed a $71.6 million order for Saab’s Combat Training Centre.

The company said the procurement calls for a CTC package including live exercise platforms for soldiers and vehicles, anti-tank and sniper operations training, communication tools, and Saab’s exercise control software. Saab will also extend training assistance in four designated locations in Denmark.

Shaping Future Combat Training Systems

The CTC deliveries, scheduled from 2025 to 2027, will provide Denmark with a “modern and flexible” combat training system that fits current and future needs, said Joakim Alhbin, head of Saab’s training and simulation business unit. “We are excited to be part of building that future,” he added.

According to the Saab website, the CTC is available as a mobile platform that can be deployed at locations where it is needed or as a stationary system on a permanent site. The platform’s EXCON software can monitor all steps and actions of up to 10,000 trainees within 1,600 square kilometers.

In addition to the Danish contract, Saab was one of 11 companies that secured spots in March on a potential $378.7 million contract to provide life cycle support for the U.S. Army’s live training ranges and combat training centers.
