Denmark has agreed to allow Ukrainian defense companies to establish facilities nationwide. The initiative, backed by a $79 million investment from the Danish government, aims to enhance the defense capabilities of Denmark and other European nations by fostering greater interoperability with the Ukrainian armed forces.

Danish Industry, Business and Financial Affairs Minister Morten Bodskov emphasized the agreement’s importance in the current challenging times, stating that the presence of Ukrainian companies in Denmark will enable Danish businesses to draw valuable lessons from the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war.

Danish Minister of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen, who formalized the deal with Ukrainian Minister of Defence Rustem Umerov during the NATO Summit in The Hague, said the “tragic background” of the conflict has enabled Ukrainians to build and innovate their defense production capabilities rapidly.
“With the establishment of companies from the Ukrainian defense industry in Denmark, we intensify the cooperation for the benefit of the security of both Ukraine and the rest of Europe,” Poulsen said. “In this way, the integration of our defense industries will greatly benefit the security and resilience of both countries.”
