The demonstration will involve a simulated border-crossing scenario to test the drone’s ability to autonomously detect, track and report unauthorized incursions. Three eBees will act as a multi-drone team, coordinating with AI systems while carrying out any kind of mission.
Co-developed with an Israeli defense technology business, the autonomous drone teaming product will combine AgEagle’s eBee VISION drone and partner-developed AI-powered mission planning and autonomous control tools, allowing the UAS to operate as a cohesive, intelligent unit. With the integration, the AI-enabled tech is expected to deliver improved intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance by offering actionable data produced with increased speed and precision.
According to AgEagle, the backpack-friendly, hand-launched eBee VISION UAS offers high-definition live video insights, even in GNSS-denied environments. It also comes with several security features, including radio data link encryption AES-256 and an encrypted SD card.
AgEagle CEO Bill Irby highlighted the features of the AI-enabled drone and how it contributes to ensuring mission success. “This strategic teammate, while not yet publicly named, brings innovative autonomous technologies to integrate with our proven drone performance to deliver a much-needed solution for countering the evolving threat facing nations around the world,” he said.
