CGI has completed its acquisition of Comarch Polska, a Polish software and IT services company, bringing more than 460 IT and business consulting professionals into CGI’s operations in Poland. CGI said Monday that the transaction expands its presence in the country and the Baltic states, increasing the company’s regional workforce to approximately 1,500 employees and deepening its capabilities in supporting public administration customers.
The acquisition was executed through CGI’s wholly owned Polish subsidiary, CGI Information Systems and Management Consultants.
What Capabilities Does Comarch Polska Add to CGI?
Comarch Polska has delivered software and IT services to public sector customers since 1993. Its portfolio includes enterprise resource planning platforms, digital process and document management tools, and consulting and managed services.
“By combining Comarch’s local expertise with CGI’s technology-agnostic offerings, we are expanding the portfolio of proven solutions available to public sector organisations in Poland,” said Bartłomiej Nieścierowicz, senior vice president and business unit leader for CGI in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. “Our commitment to delivering 95% of projects on time and within budget sets a new benchmark for performance and reliability in the Polish market.”
How Does the Deal Support CGI’s Public Sector Strategy?
The expanded organization is expected to operate across multiple Polish cities and serve government customers spanning social services, health, agriculture and other public administration mission areas.
The Comarch Polska acquisition follows continued CGI investment in public sector digital transformation programs across Europe. In the United Kingdom, CGI was awarded a multi-year contract to support the Cabinet Office’s digital modernization efforts.
