Textron Aviation Defense and Thai Aviation Industries have agreed to launch a sustainment program for the Royal Thai Air Force’s Beechcraft T-6TH and AT-6TH fleets.
Textron said the agreement, signed at the recent Paris Air Show, aims to enhance fleet readiness and long-term operational support by combining its expertise as the original equipment manufacturer with Thai Aviation Industries’ established maintenance and support capabilities within Thailand.
“The Beechcraft T-6TH and AT-6TH aircraft strengthen the mutual defense cooperation and relationship between the U.S. and Thailand,” said Tom Webster, vice president of Textron Aviation’s defense sales unit. “This agreement with Thai Aviation Industries ensures the highest level of sustainment support for the RTAF and is an important element of our commitment to the growth of Thailand’s aerospace industry.”
This new agreement comes as Textron Aviation Defense continues its international expansion. Earlier this year, the company announced plans to finalize a contract in 2025 to deliver its T-6 Texan II Integrated Training System to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, supporting training for pilots, instructors and maintainers. The company has also been tapped to provide seven Beechcraft King Air 260 aircraft and simulation hardware to support the Royal Canadian Air Force’s Future Aircrew Training program.
