Accenture to Acquire CyberCX in Major Asia-Pacific Expansion

Paolo Dal Cin on Accenture CyberCX acquisition

Accenture is set to acquire CyberCX, a cybersecurity services provider with a strong presence in Australia and New Zealand.

The deal, announced on Thursday, is expected to significantly expand the company’s capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region to protect critical infrastructure, strengthen business resilience and drive secure enterprise transformation. The acquisition terms remain under wraps, and completion is subject to regulatory approvals.

Paolo Dal Cin, Accenture’s global lead for cybersecurity, said the company shares CyberCX’s mission of using cybersecurity to guide clients through change and strengthen defenses against emerging threats.

Strategic Cyber Advantage

“By combining Accenture’s agentic AI capabilities with CyberCX’s strong market leadership, innovative offerings and trusted C-suite and government relationships, we will enable clients across Asia Pacific to transform cybersecurity into a strategic advantage,” he said.

Founded in Melbourne in 2019, CyberCX employs roughly 1,400 cybersecurity professionals and delivers end-to-end services spanning consulting, transformation and managed security operations. Its capabilities include offensive security, cyber-physical security, crisis management, threat intelligence, managed detection and response, and strategic advisory.

Advanced Security Operations

The company operates a network of advanced security operations centers in Australia and New Zealand and has offices in London and New York.

CyberCX’s ecosystem also includes partnerships with Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks and CrowdStrike and more than 2,600 professional certifications. It owns a dedicated CyberCX Academy for workforce training and offers proprietary tools for security testing and cyber intelligence.

Expanded Capabilities

The planned purchase of CyberCX follows a series of acquisitions by Accenture to expand its capabilities in various sectors.

In June, it acquired SIPAL’s Integrated Product Support unit in Italy to strengthen engineering services for aerospace and defense clients in Europe. A month prior, the company acquired Japanese firm Yumemi to enhance the market reach of Accenture Song, its digital design and product arm.

In April, Accenture added India-based TalentSprint to its portfolio to enhance its LearnVantage technology learning business, helping build future-ready talent pipelines for enterprise and government customers.
