Google Cloud has expanded its collaborations with government and innovation organizations across Southeast Asia to launch Google for Startups Accelerator: Southeast Asia, a regional initiative designed to help AI startups scale globally.

Google Cloud said Monday the program is being established in partnership with Enterprise Singapore, or EnterpriseSG, Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, or Komdigi, the Vietnam National Innovation Center, or NIC, and the Startup and Innovation Hub of Ho Chi Minh City, or SIHUB.

The company said the initiative will create an innovation corridor connecting Southeast Asia’s startup ecosystem with Silicon Valley while supporting the development of advanced AI technologies across the region.

What Is Google for Startups Accelerator: Southeast Asia?

The new accelerator program is intended to support Seed- to Series B-stage AI startups across six Southeast Asian countries by helping founders develop and commercialize agentic AI products.

Applications are now open for the inaugural cohort of 25 startups, which will participate in a three-month, equity-free program beginning in August 2026.

Participants will receive engineering support, cloud credits, mentorship and access to Google Cloud AI technologies, including Tensor Processing Units, Gemini AI models and enterprise AI tooling.

“Google for Startups Accelerator: Southeast Asia aims to serve Seed to Series B AI startups across industries and six countries, with EnterpriseSG, Komdigi, and NIC and SIHUB providing additional tailored support for startups from Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam, respectively,” said Sami Kizilbash, head of developer ecosystems for Asia Pacific at Google Cloud.

How Will the Program Support Startup Growth?

Google Cloud said the accelerator will include technical boot camps, product development support and direct engagement with investors and enterprise customers.

The program also features an in-person residency in California, where startup founders will visit Google campuses and connect with venture capital firms and technology networks in Silicon Valley.

Ben King, managing director of Google Singapore, said the initiative is intended to help startups overcome challenges tied to international expansion.

Why Are Regional Agencies Supporting the Initiative?

Government and innovation leaders from Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam said the collaboration will strengthen local AI ecosystems and help startups compete internationally.

Wong Zeng Yi, assistant managing director at Enterprise Singapore, said the organization’s partnership with Google Cloud has already supported dozens of Singapore-based AI startups.

Edwin Hidayat Abdullah, director general for digital ecosystem at Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, said the effort aligns with Indonesia’s broader digital transformation strategy.

Vu Quoc Huy, director of Vietnam’s National Innovation Center, added that the program will help connect Vietnamese startups with global technology and investment ecosystems.

What Other AI & Cloud Partnerships Has Google Cloud Announced?

Google Cloud has recently expanded several partnerships focused on sovereign cloud and artificial intelligence capabilities.

In May, Thales announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud to launch a sovereign cloud offering in Germany designed to support organizations with strict data sovereignty and security requirements.

Google Cloud has also expanded its alliance with Capgemini to accelerate enterprise AI adoption through trusted and secure sovereign cloud solutions aimed at regulated industries and government customers.
